The counselling I offer is confidential and, unless you disclose something that would make me concerned someone may be hurt, in particular children, I do not repeat anything to anyone outside the sessions. Should I be concerned I would discuss this with you in order that a satisfactory way can be found to resolve this.

However I do, as any practising therapist must, undertake regular supervision of my work with an experienced supervisor. I do not repeat client’s names in supervision and my work remains confidential.

In accordance with BACP guidelines I keep brief notes from counselling sessions, particularly when exercises and homework tasks are being set-this is simply to monitor progress. I am, of course, happy for clients to keep their own notes and journals if they wish.

As a counsellor I am trained and qualified to work in the fields of psychodynamic and systemic therapy and I am fully insured.

I welcome any questions about my training and the way in which I work.

Finally, I tend to find a flexible, open ended approach to therapy most useful and I want to be sure that clients, who are committing time and money to this venture, are finding it helpful and therefore I encourage regular reviews and feedback.

Costs & payments

I charge £60 for each couple counselling session which runs for 60 minutes.

Sessions for individual relationship counselling costs £50 which runs for 60 minutes.

If required PayPal can be used via the facility on the left of this page after you have booked your appointment, so immediate confirmation can be given, however cheques or cash are also welcome.

I do my very best to be flexible regarding cost and am happy to talk if personal finances influence the possibility of not being able to attend counselling sessions.

Having made an appointment at least 24 hours notice is required if a session is to be cancelled.

I am fully insured.
